Lots of false starts - wanker fiction

So, I haven't posted much in a the last few days, though it wasn't for lack of trying.  I've got about 15 chastity topics on a list that I'd like to talk about, but the muse isn't kicking in.  I've also got three.. count 'em, three fiction stories that I started, and stopped in the middle because they weren't up to my ever evolving standards.  I've probably got more than 30 pages of stuff that will never see the light of day (or at least shouldn't!).

Those that have read my blog for a while know that I'm trying to espouse a more grounded and dare I say "normal" vision of chastity play - one that doesn't HAVE to include whips, chains, creampies and pink panties.  If that's your gig, god bless, but I think too much chastity conversation ASSUMES that this is the baseline.  I do not.  There are a hundred blogs out there working that angle.  I'd like to choose a different path.  The Non-D/s, "loving chastity play" path.

So, here's my dilemma.  I also enjoy writing fiction, as you can see by scrolling back through my blog posts.  Unfortunately, with all three fiction stories I recently started, I found myself going down the path of "wanker fiction".  Suddenly, wives were humiliating husbands, close friends were secretly closet Dommes, old college buddies suddenly turned into former bi-lovers.   My own fiction was falling into many of the traps I'm trying to steer people away from.

So, I switched gears, and tried to get away from "wankerdom" into more believable fiction.  The problem is, the pages kept accumulating, but the action did not.  I was writing BORING sex fiction.  lol.

I guess it's a learning process.  I'm a computer geek by trade, not a romance novelist.  It'll take me some time, but we'll get there.  I've honest-to-god never read a romance novel.  Perhaps that's what I'm really writing, and I just need to suck it up and deal.  I'm not sure yet.   I want my characters to be believable, perv-next-door kinds of people, with real relationships based on love and mutual respect.  I think that can still be fuckin' hot.  I just need to learn how to do it, or perhaps I just need to release some of the stuff I think is "boring" and let people decide on their own.   I'll think on it.

  1. What, no leather, whips, or latex? I've become a regular reader and think your style is superb. I look forward to reading your next work of art, which ever direction it takes.
    Really, I don't see that it matters much if your stories veer off into fantasy land just a bit. After all, I think most of us do tend to fantasize a bit now and then. Even the most vanilla of us.

  2. Mr. M-CB,

    may I suggest literotica.com? I submitted two pieces of work to their site and both were published. One, called "Discoveries" was a large one in four parts. I then linked the published works at the bottom of my blog for anyone who wanted to read them, but most find them through the literotica.com index instead.

    best wishes...

  3. @Jim: Heh, don't get me wrong, I love the whips, chains and latex myself. I'm just not sure if I want to WRITE it. I'm still waffling. lol.

    @SH: Thanks for the pointer. I'll take a look at literotica.com. :-)
